Enterprise & Entrepreneurship

Being entrepreneurial isn’t just for people who want to start their own businesses. It is about a mind-set and approach to work which is all about adaptability, resilience, creativity and problem-solving.  These ‘human only skills’ are becoming increasingly desired by employers.

The Career Zone embeds enterprise training throughout everything we do. This way you can develop both your employability and your entrepreneurial competencies at the same time.

To help you with this we use the  Entrepreneurial Competence (EntreComp) Framework which consists of three interrelated and interconnected ideas which each have different competencies within them.

This is all about how you can develop yourself in a way which will develop value for others. By doing this University of Exeter graduates will be equipped to navigate and thrive in the Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous (VUCA) world that is the future of work

So, even if you aren’t interested in working for yourself it will still help you to develop your entrepreneurial competencies by coming to some of the Career Zone’s entrepreneurial Skills Sessions.

Here are some things to help you along your way!
